Ingredients
- 1 1/2 oz (45 ml) Tequila
- 1 oz (30 ml) Freshly squeezed lime juice
- 1/2 oz (15 ml) Triple sec or orange liqueur
- 1/2 oz (15 ml) Simple syrup
- 4-6 oz (120-180 ml) Light beer (Mexican lager works well)
- Lime wedge or wheel for garnish
- Salt (optional) for rimming the glass
- Ice cubes
Instructions
- If desired, rim a highball glass with salt by rubbing a lime wedge around the rim and dipping it in salt.
- Fill the glass with ice cubes.
- In a shaker, combine tequila, freshly squeezed lime juice, triple sec or orange liqueur, and simple syrup.
- Shake the ingredients with ice to chill the mixture.
- Strain the shaken mixture into the prepared glass filled with ice.
