Beer Margarita

- 1 1/2 oz (45 ml) Tequila
- 1 oz (30 ml) Freshly squeezed lime juice
- 1/2 oz (15 ml) Triple sec or orange liqueur
- 1/2 oz (15 ml) Simple syrup
- 4-6 oz (120-180 ml) Light beer (Mexican lager works well)
- Lime wedge or wheel for garnish
- Salt (optional) for rimming the glass
- Ice cubes
If desired, rim a highball glass with salt by rubbing a lime wedge around the rim and dipping it in salt.
Fill the glass with ice cubes.
In a shaker, combine tequila, freshly squeezed lime juice, triple sec or orange liqueur, and simple syrup.
Shake the ingredients with ice to chill the mixture.
Strain the shaken mixture into the prepared glass filled with ice.
Top off the drink with light beer. Stir gently to combine.
