  • 2 oz (60 ml) Elderflower syrup
  • 1 oz (30 ml) Freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 6-8 fresh mint leaves
  • A handful of ice cubes
  • 4 oz (120 ml) Sparkling water or club soda
  • A few slices of fresh cucumber
  • A sprig of fresh mint for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Begin by adding the elderflower syrup, freshly squeezed lime juice, and mint leaves to a cocktail shaker.
  • Gently muddle the mint leaves to release their flavor without tearing them.
  • Add a handful of ice cubes to the shaker.
  • Shake the mixture vigorously for about 10-15 seconds until well-chilled.
  • Strain the mixture into a large wine glass or a cocktail glass filled with ice.
  • Top off the glass with sparkling water or club soda.
  • Garnish your Hugo cocktail with fresh cucumber slices and a sprig of mint.
