Bloody Caesar
The Bloody Caesar stands as a beloved Canadian cocktail, celebrated for its robust and savory flavors. Created in Calgary, Alberta in the late 1960s, it has become a staple in Canadian cocktail culture. This drink offers a unique twist on the Bloody Mary, replacing the traditional tomato juice with Clamato juice—a blend of tomato and clam juices—which adds a distinctive brininess to the concoction. Combined with vodka, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, and various seasonings, the Bloody Caesar delivers a savory, spicy, and refreshing experience that has garnered a loyal following. Often garnished with a celery stalk and sometimes accompanied by creative additions like pickled beans or a rim dipped in spices, this cocktail remains a favorite for brunches, gatherings, or simply when a bold and flavorful libation is desired.
