- 2 oz (60 ml) Tequila
- 1 oz (30 ml) Triple sec or orange liqueur
- 3/4 oz (22 ml) Freshly squeezed lime juice
- 1 oz (30 ml) Simple syrup (adjust to taste)
- 2 cups of Ice
- Lime wheel or wedge for garnish
- Salt (optional, for rimming the glass)
If you'd like to rim your glass with salt, begin by running a lime wedge around the rim of your margarita glass. Then, dip the rim into a plate of salt until it's evenly coated. Set the glass aside.
